Project Summary

Together with 9 other undergraduates in The University of Georgia’s Institute for Leadership Advancement Scholars Program, I worked to complete a year-long consulting project and case study in Moultrie – a rural Georgia city – to address the need for public transportation. Our team learned 70% of healthcare appointment cancellations were caused by a lack of access to transportation. In response, our team designed a paid bus system consisting of 4 routes and 20 stops. Further, we generated budget recommendations and profit/cost analysis and a community survey to gauge sentiment. Due to the onset of COVID-19, we worked remotely when possible and conducted minimal site-visits. We shared data and final deliverables with Moultrie city council and the UGA Archway Executive Council over Zoom. Our group self-directed milestones, deliverables, and agreements.

Final Proposal Website

To be flexible amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, I developed a website hosted on UGA’s servers to showcase each sub-team’s findings and deliverables. This was a highlight of the case and continues to serve as a place future stakeholders can learn about our study.

Executive Meeting Final Presentation

Presented on November 18, 2020 to the Archway Executive Council and stakeholders in Moultrie, GA, this served as our final presentation of each team’s deliverables. I was responsible for reserving the room, setting up the teleconferencing technology, and presenting the website as a final marketing team deliverable.

As the team leader of the marketing team for this project, I was directly responsible for creating a paper and digital community survey, designing the website, and preparing slide decks. Further information on the case can be found on the proposal website.
